Loaded Questions

Loaded questions provide with a predetermined answer, for example:

“Do you think that we should convict this criminal?”

With this example, it clearly shows that this question gives off the impression of only 2 particular answers. If said yes to this question, you would be agreeing that this already determined criminal should be convicted. However if said no to this question, you’d be disagreeing to not convict someone who should be convicted. Even though the question can be somewhat contradicting, it provides with only one answer, that this person is a criminal. It’s kind of like asking someone’s opinion on something when you’ve already got your own clear opinion on it first. Asking if we should convict a criminal is already saying that they someone should be convicted and is only putting the person getting asked one way to answer it, these both options result in only benefiting the person asking the question.
